The entire puppet, including wings, is made out of the kind of latex sold by make-up houses for making slush-molded noses, chins, etc. All of it was painted with a rather watery, cheap, mold-making latex with some added pigments. The eyes are actually not moveable at all. They´re just glass birds´eyes stuck in place. The upper and lower jaw were cast in latex and reinforced with friendly plastic (a thermo -plastic). The teeth are also made with this material, and somewhat more delicate than they appear in these photos. To make the teeth I simply heated a piece of the plastic and rolled it into a thin, pointy shape between my fingers. As said, the insides of the jaws were also lined with friendly plastic and the teeth attached by heating the ”gums” slightly with a soldering iron. This can be rather tricky as you can melt teeth already put in as you work. The smaller the head, the worse it is, of course.
