The greater part of the head was cast in latex and reinforced with Friendly Plastic. The snout was string-wrapped wire with a latex build-up. The same goes for the mandibles. The antannae were semi-transparent sticky tape wrapped around string-wrapped wire, then cut into shape. The eyes were sculpted in clay with veins and bulges, then cast in latex, painted and covered by acrylic lenses, twisted into egg-shapes by heating them with a hot-air gun. The lenses were sprayed with a clear varnish to add some inside texture to them and thus making them less clear. However over the course of the week the varnish mutated and fogged the entire lens, so they were removed.
